It was an ordinary morning at the hospital. People were coming and going, like a never-ending flow of energy… Some looked contEnt and maybe even a little happy, others looked tired and grumpy. It was the time of the Covid pandemic, a virus that scared all the countries on Earth, and Canada was not an exception. I was asked at work to forget about my projects – at the time, I was hired to create eLearning for medical personnel – and instead, to help the cleaning crew at the hospital to disinfect tables, chairs, elevators: all high-touch areas. I didn’t say no. I saw God’s plan in that decision. So on that ordinary morning, I was doing my job, cleaning tables in the largest cafeteria at the hospital, listening to music in my ears, trying not to let my Ego take over again and start harassing me with: how come I am here? Was I hired to clean tables? There are already people hired to do just this…
But then, something happened. A second was enough. Within one second, I realized I was looking at a lady and her face seemed so familiar. Do you ever have moments when you see someone, and you feel inside your heart that you know them? Well, I get this a lot in my life, and it is magical every time this happens. The lady had medium-length, grey hair and a gorgeous smile, and as she was walking towards me, I just couldn’t help it. “I am sorry, but I have this strange feeling that I know you. Have we met before?” She replied with a smile: “No, but I also have a feeling I know you. I am Grace.” she said. We exchanged a few words, and suddenly she said: “You know, I do energy work, don’t be alarmed, but I see you have a kind heart. Keep at it, don’t give up.”
Time stood still for me. When the lady said those words, I felt like a coat fell off my shoulders. I sighed and I felt seen, visible, raw… It was intense that feeling.
Right then and there, I saw God’s Grace. You see, the word “grace” means a divine revelation of some kind that occurs in a second and you suddenly realize or see with new eyes an important aspect of your life. This is what I lived that morning, thanks to Grace. I lived a moment in time, when God talked to me through a person who smiled at me and wished me the best without even knowing me… God talks to us in different ways, and through people too. YOU ONLY NEED TO OPEN YOUR HEART FOR THAT!
